the Z. Even if he could have gotten $5k for his Z, if he "needed" to get rid of it as quickly as possible, taking that hit is a part of life. Sacrifice now, save money in the long run. As to actual market values, I don't know the condition of his Z, but that Miata is $3000 at the very most. It's a 1.6l, assuming it's stock it has the shitty rear, and if it's a 90 or early 91 it has the "bad" crank. Unless it has like 30k miles or a fully built NA motor, I'd say $2500 is still a bit on the high side. BUT...if he needed to get rid of the Z now, and couldn't wait around for people to pay his price, he did what he needed to do. Especially since he said something just failed on it on the way to make the trade.
